T E R R A F O R M    mobilized sub-surface decontamination accelerator

This science fiction inspired concept responds to extreme pollution conditions in old landfills by inducing a controlled acceleration of natural decomposition and restoration processes deeply below the surface. The system is housed in a roaming mechanical behemouth; an occupied industrial structure. The building moves systematically across the landscape, periodically depositing corrosive organic compounds, mold spores, and bacteria. The facility sits on the puncture sites fixing tubes that collect the gas biproduct which is converted into energy while being broken down into inert emissions. The entire facility is re-deployed to a new site once the regeneration process is complete.
